4D HIFU Lifting

Also known as "modern non-surgical lifting" this procedure’s popularity is growing rapidly because it is not associated with pain or prickling, and the result is visible and long lasting.

HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) technology uses high-intensity focused ultrasound for non-surgical lifting of the face and neck.

With a HIFU facelift, the ultrasound energy will target the deep structural layers of the skin (up to the superficial muscular aponeurotic layer, known as SMAS) with heat, tightening and lifting to reduce the signs of ageing and revealing a more youthful and refreshed look, all this without disturbing the superficial layers of the skin.

The device uses different nozzles for different penetration depths. It is characterized by precise focusing technology, and the points of ultrasonic energy are wider than other similar devices.  By targeting heat at specific depths, the Ultrasound Facial kick starts the body’s healing response, this naturally increases the levels of collagen in the tissues, which results in a much more pronounced lifting effect.

Prior to using HIFU technology, reaching the SMAS layer was only possible surgically.

The procedure is painless and can be applied year-round, is suitable for any skin type. Its greatest advantage is the long-lasting effect of the result.

For whom is the procedure appropriate?

HIFU technology is suitable for both women and men over 30 years of age who do not yet need a surgical lift but whose skin is sagging  and would like to have visible rejuvenation and most of all improved skin tightness and contours.

HIFU - non-surgucal SMAS lifting is used for:

• Age-related changes

• Hooded eyelids and eyebrows

• Deepening of the nasolabial folds

• Loss of cheek contour

• Loss of face and jowl contour

• Hanging mouth corners

• Double chin

• Loose skin around the face

• Sagging of the skin under the chin and neck

How long does the procedure take?

The duration of the procedure is usually between 30 minutes and an 1 hour, depending on the treated area and the characteristics of the patient's skin.

How many procedures are required?

Most patients only need one procedure per year. There are cases where more are needed (depending on the severity of the skin sagging and the body's response to ultrasound and collagen production).

Usually visible results are achieved after the first procedure, but for looser skin, 3-4 treatments may be required, performed once every 4-6 months.

Is there a recovery period after the procedure?

No. After the procedure, the patient can continue to follow their normal schedule. After the procedure, a slight flushing may occur for about an hour. A very small percentage of patients also experience mild edema, numbness or tenderness, but these reactions are mild and passing.

How long does the effect of the procedure last?

The patient may notice a lifting effect immediately, but the best result is visible in the interval of 3 to 6 months, while the boosting of new, stable collagen production takes place.

Cases when HIFU SMAS lifting procedure is not recommended:

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • Open wounds or inflammation of the skin
  • Severe acne or exacerbation
  • Existance of a pacemaker
  • Oncological issues
